Sally Stone is a Global Development Manager at social media giant, Facebook. Born and raised in La Jolla, California. She attended The Bishops School where she graduated with honors as a student athlete. She led the varsity women’s water polo team to three division championships and won three Junior Olympics titles for Shores Water Polo in her high school career.
Upon graduation, Sally attended the University of Michigan from 2004-2008 where she played Division One Women’s Water Polo and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She earned the title of Big Ten Scholar Athlete and NCAA Scholar Athlete. She graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
From 2009 to 2012, she worked on staff for Texas Congressman Michael McCaul in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. In this role, Sally was a Legislative Aide responsible for leading the Congressman’s Homeland Security and Cybersecurity legislation. Sally drafted and lobbied for House Bill 2096, the Cyber Security Enhancement Act of 2012, which passed on the House Floor on April 4th, 2012. She also drafted over twelve Amendments during her time on the Hill.
In 2012, she attended The University of Texas at Austin, The Red McCombs School of Business- Master’s program. As a student, Sally’s activities included McCombs Marketing Fellows- VP of Events, McCombs Student Admissions Committee, Graduate Women in Business, and Graduate Marketing Network. She graduated in 2014 with a Master of Business Administration in the field of Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
In 2014, Sally joined Facebook in Austin, Texas as a Partner Manager, Agency and Partnership Team. Since then, she has earned a series of promotions leading her to the current position of Global Development Manager in Menlo Park, California. Sally manages the development program for executive leadership and their direct reports of the Product Marketing organization.
Sally is the daughter of Guy Stone, a current President and Trustee of the Fusenot Foundation. She was named to the Board of Trustees in the summer of 2017.
